Family Love
When we first arrived in Asia many years ago, everything felt foreign. The smells, the markets, the people and of course the language. We began teaching English at a local school and I soon learned that people are the same world over....kids laugh, kids love to talk and learn new things, love is exchanged though a smile, a high five, a story and a meal. We met a family that saw us as a young family and helped us hold babies, figure out life and buy the right type of flour...they took us in as family. I was surprised that love didn't need language. Love doesn't even need to always be the same. A mother helped me make bottles for my twin babies, a lady held one of my children while I helped another that had fallen down, all women understand beauty. I love these women that make these products. Some I have sat with, some I have not met yet...but I have a deep love for them. As you shop and support Mountain Hope you are sharing in this love. Tibetan Women help each other, we come around each other and help meet the needs at the time...this is my hope. That women around the world could enter each others' stories and stand with each other. I love introducing people---these are my sisters. I'm so happy to bridge the gap and help you all know each other. This picture is of my beautiful sister visiting me and standing in the shop where your necklaces and earrings are made..I loved sharing this moment and want to extend it to you. Will you come stand in this shop and meet my sisters and my friends?
